Internal Communication
In 2013, the university had outgrown its system for communicating broad interest messages to staff and faculty. I led a team to design and develop the new Intercom broadcast email and companion website to solve the problem, including the development of a material submission policy and internal awareness promotions. From launch until early 2018, I oversaw the work of an editor and web developer who compiled, edited and produced each biweekly edition. Intercom performed better than our high expectations for it, receiving substantial page view increases each year I was there and increasing the findability (by keyword search) of critical information previously trapped in emails.
